1965, Norway

The Model 807 sofa, designed by Fredrik Kayser in 1965, is a proud example of Norwegian design history, with a strong focus on craftsmanship and quality.

With its simple and clean design language, the sofa is a classic example of Norwegian design tradition, where craftsmanship and quality are central.

The furniture is made from solid materials and can be upholstered in fabrics or leather, creating a natural and lasting expression. The frame is slender and airy, yet sturdy, providing both excellent support and long-lasting durability. The seat cushions are designed to offer optimal comfort and proper firmness.

The Model 807 sofa makes a statement in any room with its presence and clean lines. Despite its compact 190 cm length, it still offers generous seating and comfort with its soft cushions. It’s an excellent choice for those who want both a comfortable seating experience and to fill a space with the timeless character of Kayser design.

The Model 807 sofa is built on a frame of solid wood, plywood, laminated pine, and elements of birch and spruce. The base features nosag springs for added comfort.

The sofa cushions have a polyurethane foam core and are filled on top and bottom with KospoFe. KospoFe consists of small pieces of polyester and down feathers, arranged in pockets above and below the foam core, making the cushions soft and comfortable.

The 807 can be upholstered in a variety of fabrics from Innvik, as well as aniline and semi-aniline leather from Elmo.

The distinctive sofa legs are made of powder-coated steel, supporting the sofa in a stable, slightly reclined position.

We recommend vacuuming the sofa regularly using medium suction and a gentle nozzle, preferably with a brush attachment. Be careful to avoid objects with sharp edges. For stains on fabric, use a lint-free cloth or sponge. Warm and wring out the cloth or sponge, then press evenly over the affected area to remove impurities. Avoid rubbing, as this can damage the fabric fibers.

If the sofa is upholstered in leather, we recommend following Elmo Leather’s care instructions  and using their maintenance products. Contact us if you need cleaning or care products—we’ll be happy to assist you.
