Some places stay with you. For Elizabeth Matre-Aas, the Danish island of Læsø has been one of those places for many years – long before her family found the house that would eventually become their own.
What began as summers spent on the island gradually became a home. A house restored with care, filled with objects that carry stories, natural materials, and furniture made to last. It wasn't completed all at once, and that's part of its charm. Homes evolve over time.
